UCM License Plates

 

Show your Central Missouri pride every time you venture out in your vehicle! The “Fighting Mule” license plate is available to all alumni, students, parents, fans and friends who have registered Missouri vehicles and have made a donation of $25 or more to the UCM Alumni Foundation.  You can order custom UCM plates anytime, regardless of your current plate’s expiration date.

 

Here's the Process

1. Make a tax-deductible donation of $25 for one-year registration, or $50 for two- year registration, to the UCM Alumni Foundation. Your contribution can be to any designation (consider the Central Annual Fund if you are unsure where to give). Gifts can be mailed to PO Box 800, Smiser Alumni Center, Warrensburg, MO 64093. You can also make your gift online or over the phone at 660-543-8000.
2. Contact the UCM Alumni Foundation to request an “Emblem Use Authorization Statement.” The statement is proof that you contributed to UCM and is required to order custom UCM plates. The Emblem Use Authorization Statement must be used within six (6) months of the gift date.
3. Complete an “Application for Missouri Personalized and Special License Plates” (Form 1716).Select “Collegiate: Name of College or University” in Step 2 and type/ write in “UCM."
4. You will need to provide six (6) personalized plate letter/ number choices with explanation of choice. (Check the availability of personalized plate letter/ number combinations here*).
5. Indicate at which license bureau you will pick up your plates in Step 4.
6. Mail your Application for Missouri Personalized and Special License Plates with $15 fee made payable to Missouri Department of Revenue and the provided Emblem Use Authorization Statement to: Motor Vehicle Bureau, Personalized License Plates Section, 301 W. High St., Room 370, P.O. Box 569, Jefferson City, MO 65105.
7. Your local license bureau will notify you when your plates are available. This process typically takes 6–8 weeks. If your registration becomes due during this process, you will need to renew as normal and transfer tags when your custom plates arrive.

Note: This process must be repeated every time the specialty license plate registration is renewed.
