Policies and Procedures

 

The UCM Alumni Foundation maintains several policies with respect to the types of gifts accepted, how gifts are invested, how proceeds from investments are utilized, and how donor agreements are structured. They include:

These policies are maintained by the Director of Foundation Financial Operations, under the supervision of the Executive Director of the UCM Alumni Foundation. Foundation policies are created or updated to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as the guidelines established for fundraising organizations by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Association of Governing Boards (AGB). New policies are normally developed using industry standards and are subject to rigorous reviews and discussions with staff, appropriate Alumni Foundation Board of Director committees and the Executive Committee. Once a final draft is approved, the policy is submitted to the board for approval.
